Operations
Corporate Relations, Treasury, Public Relations
The operations system is composed of three parts, each of which serves a function that deals with outward relations between the LHR organization and any third-party. Each team has a role in either acquiring new relationships or maintaining communications with the school to ensure that our team is in the green.
CR: The Corporate Relations System plays a pivotal role in outreach and acquisition. This is with third-party companies to create partnership agreements for the year, resulting in either monetary or material donations to the team. This is all to support the innovation and creativity of the engineering team in all they do and aspire to achieve. The CR team is the first line of attack when trying new things for the team. They do cold outreach via email and phone calls to create opportunities for new ideas to take hold.
PR: The Public Relations System is one that relies on creativity and vision, sharing the unique story of our team with those not involved. This can be parents, teachers, other students, or people from across the globe, all of whom are united by the tales this team weaves to highlight specific groups within the team and the organization as a whole. This group’s main form of content shared is via instagram, where we post weekly and share highlights of events, workdays, and interesting partnerships we have developed. They also work on LinkedIn and the website, in tandem with CR, creating newsletters that go to the partners to share what their investments have been going toward.
Treasury: The final system under Operations is the Treasury. This is a system, true to its name, that deals with the money inflows and outflows from the team. This team deals with ensuring each engineering system stays within their budget and gets information from the university which they must then convey to the team. Usually this is how much in partnerships we have earned in the month and from whom, which helps organize our documentation and gives the CR team a sense of where they may need to double down on their outreach.
